Chiropractic Care

The word chiropractic means “to be done by hand”. Chiropractic treatment at AcuHealth involves soft tissue work and subtle manipulation to the spine and/or extremities to restore joint function and support the nervous system, immune function and overall vitality. Unique to AcuHealth, our chiropractor, Dr. Marino, is dual licensed in acupuncture and chiropractic. When used together, these two modalities can provide relief from complex or chronic health concerns. Have questions or are curious what might work best for you? Let’s schedule a consultation to talk through your health history and create a treatment plan to meet your needs.

What Sets AcuHealth Apart

At AcuHealth our chiropractor, Dr. Marino, holds a dual license in both acupuncture and chiropractic. This allows him to assess and diagnose complex conditions using Western diagnostic tools like Range of Motion assessments, diagnostic imaging, bloodwork, and nerve and muscle testing while using Eastern medical theory to connect symptoms to their root cause. Gentle manipulation of the spine and joints, soft tissue work, heat therapy, acupressure/acupuncture, stretching exercises and lifestyle modifications may all be included in your holistic chiropractic treatment plan at AcuHealth. Dr. Marino is in-network with several insurance providers. Please call the office with any questions you might have.

What is a “chiropractic adjustment”?

Adjustments can be made along the spine and to joints throughout the body to correct alignment, relieve pain or restriction and improve overall function of the affected area. A thorough health history and exam will be taken before areas requiring adjustment are determined. This procedure is gentle, focused and specific to the needs of the patient. Your practitioner will communicate with you throughout the adjustment to make sure there is no discomfort.
